Reorganizando a casa

Já que precisei atualizar meu currículo para adicionar mais cor, aproveitei a motivação para seguir os conselhos de quem dizia que eu devia organizar meus textos, palestras e afins. E surgem as páginas do blog…

Sabe quando você está com a sensação que esqueceu de alguma coisa? Eu estou com ela. Da última vez que eu cacei alguns dos meus artigos foi quando encontrei por acaso na net a tradução do artigo de segurança em programação PHP, que eu nem lembrava mais. Eu não entendo lhufas de PHP, mas a tentativa na época era tentar colocar um pouco de consciencia a respeito de segurança nos programadores da empresa que eu trabalhava. De que adiantava um firewall lindo, em FreeBSD, em bridge, se eles queriam abrir o MySQL pra internet? Devo dizer que duvido que alguém de lá tenha lido o texto, mas acho que o pessoal que frequentava a Linux Security deve ter gostado.

Agora, pérola mesmo foi encontrar a primeira palestra de todas que eu dei, sobre Segurança em Linux. A palestra foi para umas 30 pessoas em uma sala alugada pela Sucesu/SC para a reunião mensal em Camboriú, e lembro que esta não fiquei tão nervosa quanto nas duas palestras seguintes. Os slides tosquíssimos, letra preta em fundo branco e só. O mais assustador é que muita coisa lá, escrita em 2002, ainda parece ser novidade para a galera, e não me refiro a novatos. Alias, a matéria de segurança em PHP também continua atualizada, porque sempre vejo as recomendações e novas falhas repetirem os mesmos conselhos.Bom, e quem quiser me ajudar a catalogar, se lembrar de algum evento que eu não registrei, por favor me avise. A palestra “Mulheres e Software Livre” foi a que mais repeti, e nem eu lembro de todos os lugares… Os relatos de eventos, também não lembro de todos… alguém tem mais links aí?

Agora tenho que passar tudo para html para ficar mais fácil de navegar. Mas enfim, é ótimo parar para reorganizar seu trabalho e o quanto você produziu de material útil. E olha que tem várias outras coisas no forno…

Since I had to update my resumee to put more color on it, I took the advice from some friends to put my texts, lectures and stuff togheter. And here comes the blog’s pages…

You know that feeling that you’re missing something… I’m feeling this right now. Last time I searched for my articles was when I found the translation of a article about Secure PHP Programming, which I had completly forgotten. I don’t understand anything about PHP, but at that time I was trying to make the programmers of the company awareness about security. There was no point in me doing so much effort to put a nice firewall, running FreeBSD, transparent with bridge, if they wanted to open the MySQL database to the world. I must say I doubt anyone there did read this article, but people in Linux Security Brazil enjoyed.

But was really funny to find the very first talk I gave, about Linux Security. The talk was saw by 30 people, in a small room booked for the monthly meeting of the Sucesu/SC, in Camboriú, and I remember that I was not that nervous. The slides are very simple, just black letters in a white background. But the scariest thing is that a lot of thing there, which I wrote in 2002, still looks news for people, and I don’t mean newbies. The Secure PHP Programming also looks updated, since I usually see the same recomendations and new flaws explore the same concepts.

If anyone else want to help me, and remember a event or conference that I didn’t list, please mail me. The talk “Women and FOSS” was the talk I had presented several times, and I’m not sure I remember all the places. The reports from another conferences, I don’t remember all then either. Does anyone has a new link there?

Now I want to put all in html to make it easier to see. It is so great when you stop to organize your work and see there is a lot of great things. And keep one eye here, there is more for coming…
